(Belmont, MA) This summer the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Belmont Police and Fire Departments is offering a Youth Public Safety Academy for children who live in Middlesex County. The sheriff’s academy is located in Billerica. Belmont’s week is July 28th – August 1st and is open to youths 9-11 years old. This is a week long program is free of charge. All participants will receive a tee shirt and cap.  Lunch and snacks will be provided each day.  The cadets will be picked up each day at 8:15 at Belmont High School and returned there at 3:15 PM. A staff member will be at the drop off point to ensure each cadet is picked up by a parent or guardian. (The exception will be Friday when parents will attend graduation and take their cadet home).    

 

Applications are available in the Police Department lobby and Fire Department headquarters
