  • 8-13 weeks of training for all new dispatchers in all aspects of emergency service dispatching in-house (Average of 240 hours)
  • 24 hours of state mandated 9-1-1 System training
  • 1 week APCO Basic Emergency Telecommunicator school
  • 16 hour CPR / Defibrillator / “First Responder” First Aid certification with yearly recertification.
  • Periodic training classes are attended by personnel though out the year in subjects as varied as:

  • Tactical Dispatcher Training
  • Diversity Awareness
  • Advanced Fire Dispatch
