The Belmont Police want to remind everyone to slow down when they approach constructions sites. Unfortunately, Belmont is having numerous jobs around town. Please be patient and we will try to keep you updated of weekly construction activity. The following areas are active for this week and next. Belmont Water Department will be on Belmont near Payson. In addition, Gas Crews will be on Mill St near Lorimer,Brettwood, Royal rd, Bow and School and Hastings Rd. If this is helpful please let us know in the Traffic Department.
If anyone is interested in discussing traffic issues in their neighborhood please contact Sgt. Shea at kshea@belmontpd.org or Lt. Donahue at cdonahue@belmontpd.org. We would like to put a a traffic analysis of a designated area and put it on the website. For example we could video vehicles,pedestrians, and bicyclist in an area and discuss solutions to the problem. Education,Enforcement and Engineering are what we are trying to accomplish to improve traffic problems. Please help us and give some input.
