Notice pursuant to M.G.L. Ch. 135, s. 8.
POLICE AUCTION
Belmont Police Department Belmont, Massachusetts
The police department will sell unclaimed bicycles starting June 3, 2005 by means of an auction conducted online at the website www.propertyroom.com. See website for rules. A list of the bicycles to be sold may be found at www.belmontpd.org by clicking on the “Found Property” button on the homepage and then the “Bicycles” button. The police department will be selling unclaimed property by means of web auction because the expense of conducting a traditional auction is high and the prices paid for property are lower than is anticipated from a web auction. If anyone should believe that an item up for auction belongs to them, please contact Lt. Richard Santangelo, custodian of property, at 617-993-2552. The police department will sell at auction unclaimed property including bicycles, telephones, stereos, cameras, watches, jewelry, clothing, and personal articles.
