Crime Prevention

Community Services

The prevention of crime is a primary focus and goal of the Belmont Police Department. It is when crimes are prevented that society is best served. The Belmont Police Department has several measures in place to prevent crime and help citizens and business's to determine their own risk assessment.
The most widely accepted definition of crime prevention is: the anticipation, recognition and appraisal of a crime risk and the initiation of some action to remove or reduce it.
The following is a list of Crime Prevention subjects that can help deter crime in just about any situation. This page should used as a guide. The Belmont Police would gladly set up an appointment with you to discuss your specific crime prevention needs.
